![]() Past patrons say that while the menus are limited, the cuisine (especially the ceviche) is delicious. When you're ready to eat, grab a seat at one of the hotel's three on-site restaurants. The studio, one- or two-bedroom suites come outfitted with a terrace or balcony, coffeemaker, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi access and washer and dryer units. ![]() Sprawling across more than 5 acres, the hotel offers ample seclusion and tranquil surroundings to help guests recharge. Stretching out along Coral Beach, roughly 8 miles south of the Punta Cana Airport, AlSol Del Mar entices vacationers seeking a little peace and quiet in the Dominican Republic. However, some warned that beach bums may be disappointed with the on-site beach: The tiny stretch of sand is filled with seaweed. Keep in mind that this hotel participates in the Marriott Bonvoy program, so members can earn and use points during their stays. While Sanctuary Cap Cana is certainly a treat for the eyes and taste buds, recent guests cited the excellent customer service as the main reason for planning a repeat visit. For dinner with a view, head to Blue Marlin, which is raised on stilts over the sea. ![]() When you're not in your well-appointed digs, enjoy the expansive grounds: Sanctuary Cap Cana boasts six pools and five restaurants. At this adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, you'll find suites outfitted with furnished balconies or terraces, espresso machines and silk bathrobes. Perched on the Caribbean Sea in the gated resort area of Cap Cana, less than 9 miles southwest of Punta Cana International Airport, Sanctuary Cap Cana lives up to its name, providing a peaceful escape for travelers. The fourth eatery, Hoyo 19, has sandwiches and burgers for guests to enjoy. A third eatery, La Palapa, is available for fresh seafood by the Caribbean Sea. Mediterraneo offers seasonal flavors for breakfast and dinner. Suite rates cover daily breakfast at BLUE Grill + Bar or Mediterraneo (depending on the suite type). Outside the suites, travelers can unwind with a treatment at Eden Roc Wellness & Spa or enjoy the Eden Roc Beach Club, a private facility that touts a palm-shaded pool, a barbecue area and a beach bar. Some even come equipped with a private pool. Each of the resort's 65 suites features high ceilings, complimentary Wi-Fi access, a Nespresso machine and either a private balcony or terrace. Tucked inside Cap Cana, one of Punta Cana's most exclusive communities, this Relais & Châteaux outpost offers a long list of sumptuous amenities. I tip at the end of my stay for exceptional service so don't want sub-par service if I'm not waving the dollars around upfront.īeach is important as in clearing and swimable with enough beds and umbrellas on the beach.Eden Roc at Cap Cana prides itself on offering secluded luxury. I don't want somewhere where tipping is 'expected'. Drink wise they don't have to be serving grey goose all over the place but I do want bacardi/smirnoff rather than the local stuff. We love fish so some good seafood choices. We don't expect 5* food at an all inclusive but good choice, fresh and flavoursome is what we want. We don't want to play any 'chair' games on the beach or at the pool and we like more relaxed areas and pools on holiday.įood and drinks are important to us. Rooms are important to us, we like a modern feel or even if it's colonial style just that it feels 'fresh'. We would just get an entry level room at Secrets and the basic castle room at Sanctuary. We're weighing up Sanctuary Cap Cana and Sevrets Cap Cana and wondered if anyone whose been to those and to Excellence can comment based on the things that are important to us below. But I'm wary we'll pay more and it won't be as good! However, my partners keen to try another brand (even if it costs a little more). We'd only now return to EEC after our most recent split trip and finding things had gone down hill at EPC. We've been travelling to Punta Cana since 2017 but have stuck to EPC and EEC.
